LINKS AND FRIENDS !!

Special Announcement

The Sex Slaves from Hell will be disbanding in January. After 17 years of beinga rock star, Helen is running away to sea with her man and doesn't know when she's coming back! Another band will rapidly emerge, retainging the Irish folk rock world music fusion sound with teh odd silly song thrown in.

Keep looking at our website and gig lists for details of our last gigs adn the final gig (TBA).

May the fun continue.

As some of you may know ......

Very sadly, Gazza has gone from us. such a superb and well respected musician, such a warm personality and sense of humour, Gazza's strength of spirit help make the band what it is today.

We had 10 years of fun together, a lot of gigs and these times are how we will all remember him.

We and all of his friends and family knew that Gazza loved the band and would want us to continue so we have done, Spike is taking the role as drummer in the engine room of the slaves. Gazza would be proud to know that we are still powering forward doing excellent gigs, festivals, weddings through to parties and pubs and creating the same atmosphere of fun and exuberance.

We still carry Gazza with us in our hearts as does everyone who knew him.

Some friends and allies we've met along the way are listed 'down below' in no particular order,
consistent with the band's remaining thought patterns.  Should you feel so inclined, do go and have a
look at them.

  • Movinmusic - blues roots and related music promotions, co-run by our friend Grant Bucknell.  Grant has very kindly given his time and expertise in getting our website up and running.

  • Troubador Studios, Falmouth.  The good offices of Chris Gray, who has recorded and mixed our second and third albums.

  • The Reptiles!  If you're up-country passing through Hampshire or Dorset, check out the red-hot Reptiles, R&B band extraordinaire, with bass guitar provided by Dave Spud Ferris, Pete's old Mate and technical guru from their days together in the Hedge Monkeys folk-rock outfit.

  • Nemesis! Rock with conviction, folk with attitude, music with many notes!  Old friends of Pete's, the band is based in Dorset - if they're playing and you happen to be nearby, check them out, you won'T be disappointed!

  • Tony Rockett is a renowned guitar maker who also deals with repairs, set-ups and restorations - including Pete's long-suffering bouzouki!
