US !!

All bands write incestuous passages about their personnel in their handouts.  These contain 'in'
jokes that only the band members understand or find funny, or clever, but that they conceitedly
believe will mark them out from all the other bands, and make them appear really interesting.
Many bands now use this idea, which they have all stolen from the same edition of some
illiterate music 'magazine'.  We just love it - so here goes!

Helen - Fiddle

Mother of one and lover of Classic FM, Helen enjoys the Archers, and likes the odd vat of wine. Wears tiny dresses to excite the massive crowds we always attract.  Helen is the only band member who understands the theory of music.  Obviously.  Swears a bit, and never knows how anything electrical works, but always ready with a really nice cup of tea.

Richard - Bass

Polite.  Richard is the youngest member of the Slaves, which makes a change for him following a foray into the world of pop bands.  Rugged, athletic, but with a sensitive side - Die Hard on Ice, sort of.  Richard believes County Down is a television quiz programme.

Pete - Vocals/Bouzouki

Pete

Acquired on a free transfer from the Vision-On Orchestra.  Instrumentalist, librettist, author, racing driver, chef, raconteur.  Unpretentious.  His vocal technique, legendary in Amnesialand, was developed during an afternoon series of bungy jumps.  Pete's favourite colour is beer colour, and he would like to know more about music.  But he never will.

Gazza - Drums

Gazza

'Naughty boy' image hiding a naughty boy.  Likes: endless tubes of Red Stripe.  Dislikes: practising, punctuality, low drum volume.  Keen on weird rhythms, always a blur of drum sticks, famous for his solos - but watch out for his paradiddles!  Gazza is very musical for a drummer.
