Yak 4: December 06 – A New Face! Since our last Yak! page went up, we have made a new friend - Wayne The Brain! We first met up with Wayne during a St Austell gig. Half-way through Devil Went Down he leapt from the audience to fix hapless Helen’s hopeless Trago Mk 1 lead-light, which she uses to illuminate her music. As usual, the light had toppled from its spindly mounting, but gallant Wayne rushed to her aid with a big roll of gaffer tape and the emergency was soon completely resolved. After the gig, Wayne volunteered to help us with packing up, which quickly endeared him to the band. We have since formed a great friendship with The Brain, who has moved to Penryn with his beloved dog Henry, and become our factotum extraordinaire. He has spent many hours on our Balkanic Eruption EP artwork, and has helped us with umpteen other matters including our sound, and we love him dearly. Wayne likes to sing, dance about, and play with his whistle!
